À ceux-ci, je me suis particulièrement identifiée:

A room of one’s own me donna un élan.

Bienvenue dans A gallery of one’s own.

A gallery of one’s own is a name and concept inspired by the essay A Room of One’s Own by Virginia Woolf. When I read that book, I kept highlighting words that resonated with me. I would rewrite them in my workshop notebooks. I particularly identified with the following:

"I will not be "famous," "great." I will go on adventuring, changing, opening my mind and my eyes, refusing to be stamped and stereotyped. The thing is to free one's self: to let it find its dimensions, not be impeded."

A Room of One’s Own gave me a boost. I wanted to create my own gallery. I was going to remove obstacles. I wanted to be free and to design a place of disclosure that was personal to me. I wanted to build bridges between my art and the public, in my own way and without intermediaries.

A gallery of one’s own bears the stamp of my professionalism, my university education, and the various exhibitions that constitute recognition by my peers. It allows the viewer to choose authentic and certified work. In this space, you will mainly find my small format works. They are like short poems created with the same research intentions as my larger formats. They carry the essential. They hold the strength of the small and they incite in us a need to make them exist.

The works that I put before you are intended to inhabit any space, whether it is the interior of your private house or the one of your workspace, with their capacity to singularly integrate into your everyday environment. They will allow you to punctuate your surroundings with a sense of poetry. Living with one of my works awakens an often undefinable part of oneself. A collector once wrote these words to me:

"There are works like yours that come to us without us expecting it and that enlighten us, each in their own way, on what our spirit hides from our soul." C.E.D

Welcome to A gallery of one’s own.
