CONSTELLATIONS
Architectures of the intimate and the force of the few.
Signed by Quebec artist Marie France Cournoyer, the CONSTELLATIONS collection draws a geography of childhood and memory. Here, wire is articulated to trace fragile silhouettes of houses, inspired by the naivety and purity of childhood sketches.
Like a suspended narration, each work threads together materials steeped in history: fragments of fabric, locks of hair, or excerpts from old missives. Rooted in the contemporary art landscape of the Province of Quebec, these objects—suspended like secrets—become the anchor points of a floating memory. Between the iron structure and the softness of the textile, each house becomes the shelter of a silent story.
