Le silence est une chose matérielle.

Borrowing words from Virginia Woolf to explore the density of the invisible, this work from the series Les Petites Brutes defines silence not as an absence, but as a material to be shaped and manipulated.
A tattered garment, held together by staples, evokes a moment of great suffering that one attempts to erase. In this visual stanza on the weight of an intimate void, the force of the few becomes tangible. The gaze lingers on the texture and grain of the medium, where mutism takes shape and becomes a sovereign presence.
