LES PETITES BRUTES
The casket and the force of the few.
Signed by Quebec artist Marie France Cournoyer, the LES PETITES BRUTES series is articulated as a vertical dialogue between raw support and the delicacy of a veil. Each piece consists of two sections: at the top, an oil pastel drawing created on cardboard from a box, and at the bottom, a small tulle bag acting as a protective casket.
This textile space imprisons a small object, a secret nestled like a silent prayer at the heart of the matter. Between the roughness of the cardboard and the transparency of the bag, this collection, rooted in the contemporary art landscape of the Province of Quebec, explores the trace we hold onto, transforming the elementary and banal fragment into an intimate archive.

Format : L 'œuvre n'est pas encadrée. Elle est conçue pour être accrochée directement au mur avec des épingles (fournies), créant un jeu d'ombre délicat et une présence éthérée.
